Lindy and Mike got engaged on the ski slopes, and spent the weekend at the Juniper Hotel and Bistro. So naturally, it was the perfect venue for their winter wedding! This little inn is loaded with character, and perfect for a couple who loves the rustic yet elegant aesthetic. I had the pleasure of working with Lindy and her lovely Mom, Midge to plan and design this wedding. Midge has planned many events, and working with her was just like working with another event professional! Lindy is just loaded with beautiful vibrant energy, I really miss chatting with her all the time!
With guests travelling from all over Alberta and beyond, Lindy and Mike decided to plan a full weekend of events. We kicked the weekend off with a welcome party complete with a full fun casino, and a smore bar perfect for the outdoor firepit overlooking Mount Rundle. Saturday was wedding day complete with rustic elegant decor, a hot cocoa favour station, and a woodland ceremony; and Sunday included a relaxed (and super yummy) brunch, followed by a horse drawn sleigh ride with gourmet hot chocolate for the guests! This was a really exciting weekend for our team, as we spent 3 days working with these wonderful families to create a full Rocky Mountain Experience for them and their guests. Lindy and I chatted recently, and she told me her wedding felt like “a vacation with a wedding in it.” That made me beam, because it’s exactly how we want all of our couples to feel!
Thank you so much to Kirstie of Orange Girl Photographs for sharing some of Lindy & Mike’s beautiful images with us! Have a peek below to see how everything came together!
