“We feel so lucky to have worked with Callandra on the most amazing day of our lives. She is organized, passionate, level-headed, knowledgeable and stylish. We really can’t think of anything else that one would want in a wedding planner!
What made our planning experience with Callandra so successful was her interest in understanding us as people (two consultants who spend too much time on planes with excel spreadsheets) and getting to know our quirks (a non-bride bride who didn’t know the difference between ‘pintuck’ and ‘ranunculus’), and then embracing them to help us create a wedding event that was uniquely “us” (… maple bacon apple fritters).
By the end of our Banff adventure we really thought of her as a guest at our wedding – a very helpful, highly trusted, sober guest who wore a headset, always seemed to know what should happen next and was prepared for all things unexpected (e.g. she was the only guest with a red wine removal kit immediately handy for Andrea’s dress after a boisterous Best Man hug…). Realistically, anyone who manages to deal with this spectrum of ‘special requests’ – from orchestrating the gutting of a hotel bathroom to personally packing 100+ welcome packs – deserves a long hug and a bonus.
Because she invests herself into a relationship with her clients, she was able to take barely formed wild baby ideas of ours, feed them a steady diet of enthusiasm and pragmatism and local knowledge, and grow them into fully functioning, wonderful and practical adult ideas we could all be proud of and love! (Champagne and beer before the ceremony?! Brilliant.)
The result: a wonderful day, a litany of guest compliments, and a standing invitation to get together for bubbly beverages. Thanks Callandra!
P.S. You should hire her! Seriously.”
